Welcome to the Beginning

They say that journals are soothing, and from what I remember about journaling as a child or teenager, I remember that to be true. I'm all about adding things that make me feel better into life. My journals have always been in little notebooks or books labeled journal on the front of them. So this will be new. The older I get the less inclined I am to write with a pen. Especially after using a computer for everything in college. Because of this I've not journaled more than 10 times in the past two years. I have barely written anything that hasn't been assigned to me by professors. Writing used to be something I enjoyed and did for pleasure. I hope with this new venture I will make it so again. I also hope that writing this blog will help me to find who I am and what makes me happy. I am in a position that I am not comfortable with out here in a new town over a thousand miles away from what I consider to be home. Yes, my husband is with me on this adventure, but medical school can take a lot of a person. I hope that other spouses may be able to find my blog and we may be able to reach out to each other.

Is that a dragonfly in your pic?!! Cool pics of Bryce! We (meaning Mindy & I) demand pics of St. George (or just pics of you & Brady in IA). Thought you might like this blog too: http://medschooltagalongs.blogspot.com/2008/05/crazy-wives.html

I love reading your blog! You are a great writer and a great photographer... your pictures turn out SO good. Sorry to hear about the antidepressants and I am sure it is extremely frustrating that these doctors didn't even think of the effects it would cause you down the road and now you are stuck to deal with those issues. What a nightmare! You are being so strong and I will keep you in my prayers. Try to rely on the Lord and I know everything will work out for the best. You will be the best mom!!

Hey Melanie. I lived in FL and then GA when I first got married. Was gone for a little over 4 years. I loved it at first but then I really started to get home-sick and miss the way things are where I grew up. Everything was just different there. Well now I'm back in Utah and guess what? I miss a lot of things about GA. Haha. So I guess you kind of have to just be happy where you are at. If you are ever lonely, we can chat...my husband is an airline pilot and since he is new to the company he doesn't have much seniority and is only home a few days a week.
