Hypnosis

Tonight I went to seminar called Hypnosis to Relieve Insomnia. It was interesting. Was I hypnotized? I am not sure. We will see. It sure was relaxing though. The instructor says that hypnosis is not really like it looks in the movies. You don't lose control of yourself or go under or anything. And that we are all in several hypnotic states every day. Like when your zoned out or daydreaming. I was given a cd that I should listen to every night at bed time for 30 days, without missing. If I miss, I have to start over. I guess he says that the cd is so boring that it should only take a couple of minutes eventually to put you to sleep. This will be amazing for me since it usually takes a minimum of 45 minutes to fall asleep. I just lay there and think and think. How this thing is supposed to work is while you are asleep your subconscious is worked on by the cd changing your self image and curing you of the problem you have. Apparently this guy also does Hypnosis to promote weight loss, cease smoking, bedwetting, nail biting and on and on. If you wanna check him out his website is here. People have quit smoking starting the night they went to one of his seminars and never gone back. I figure why not try it. I don't have anything to lose. Wouldn't it be awesome if it were this easy? I'll let you know how it goes.

We went to raspberry days up at bear lake and I got hypnotized at the showing they did. Apparently I talked to my shoes and smelled a guy in the audience. I hope it works for you!

Wow, that is pretty interesting! I am going to be excited to see what you think about it, hope it works! Yes, Prednisone can make you very aggressive, the first time I was on it I was realy afraid of myself because I would get so mad and feel like I was losing all control over myself, I really wanted to hit something!

I really hope it works. I go through stages where I can't go to sleep for hours sometimes. It is so frustrating! So, I really hope you can get to sleep faster than you have been.

Just wanted to wish you good luck with the sleeping I really hope it helps you! Thanks for the comment on the blog. Yes, my girls love shoes we could spend hours in the shoe store just trying them on and not even get any. They always get new shoes for school and I thought it would be cute to put them on there. Good to hear from you!

OK so I just wanted to tell you not to freak about the missionaries because they totally DO assign you, thats the way it was when we lived in that ward anyway. They would assign the guys in Elders quorum a night not realizing that they never tell their wives about it and usually forget about it all together!DOn't worry about not having a table either, make them something ethnic and tell them to pretend they are in another country! Good luck!

Hey Melanie,
I am very impressed by your knitting ability. I also would like to hear how the hypnosis goes. As a pharmacist, I want you to know that many ladies have continued antidepressants while pregnant. Sometimes, it is really important to the health of the mother to stay on them. Good luck on having a baby. Love, Aunt Pam

I am so glad you left a comment on my blog - I love when I find out others who have blogs too! Yah! I read a little bit on your blog and I really hope this hypnosis works cause what you are going through sounds like no fun at all. And I am a little curious to see if it works cause I think I should get hypnotized so I will stop eating so much crap! For how much I exercise I sure waste a lot on what I eat. And apparently self control is not in my vocabulary.

Oh and I am excited for you to go to the SYTYCD tour. It really was super awesome and you will like it even if you don't act super crazy since your husband is there. You will probably get less weird looks as a result too ;)
